School Groups
In September, 2001, Insta-Gator opened its doors to provide educational guided tours. Our tour is one and one-half hours in length and can be as in-depth educationally as the group requires. We have a large picnic area and a large field for play, including a soccer field, so that your class can enjoy their day at Insta-Gator Ranch.
Our tour has been designed to help teachers meet their requirements in teaching to state and national benchmarks and to give students a sense of Louisiana s natural environment and culture. Time permitting, we will even give the students a verbal quiz at the end of their tour and have the two students answering the most questions correctly hold an alligator in front of their class for a free class picture.
Please consider downloading our informational flyer to post in the teacher's lounge or to distribute in whatever way is most convenient. Additionally, please review the educational information in this website, which includes activities, worksheets, discussion questions, and other resources for teachers. All of our information is, of course, age appropriate for students from K-12.
We encourage you to reserve your day at Insta-Gator Ranch any time year round, and if you mention our website discount, we will provide you with a 10% discount on tours during our slow months of September 15 thru October 15 and January 10 thru February 28.
